Bootea Teatox Challenge |Day 2|

Looking back at day 2 of my personal detox challenge I feel like I have done so well! I’m looking back at what I consumed yesterday and am so surprised with myself. Here’s my ‘diary’ for yesterday (Sunday 1st November).

BREAKFAST

  • Special K cereal topped with walnuts, blueberries, strawberries and Activia yogurt.
  • Daytime Teatox tea

I felt quite groggy this morning so a quick cereal breakfast was just too easy to make. Also I was struggling with the affects of the Bedtime tea (It’s lethal stuff!). A quick healthy breakfast picked me up and readied me for the day ahead as I had a fair bit to do.

LUNCH

  • Instant ramen noodles
  • 2 slices of brown bread with butter

Because I had a lot to do I needed a quick lunch. This was an unhealthy option but was still enjoyed!

DINNER

  • Vegetable risotto – peppers, courgettes, aubergines, tomato and pepper sauce, rice – topped with a sprinkle of cheese
  • 2 slices of granary bread with butter

This was so delicious for my first attempt ever at making risotto! I surprised myself immensely with my cooking skills (My mother and Chris tried it and they enjoyed it too!). It was filling and more-ish.

SNACKS AND DRINKS

  • A small bowl of leftover homemade chips
  • Packet of crisps
  • Sugar free vimto
  • Sugar free florida orange high juice (M&S)

EXERCISE

I was painting again this afternoon, so up and down I was for about 3 hours plus a shopping trip with my mother in the morning to look for a new carpet for my new room. I can only do so much and as long as I am active it doesn’t matter what type of exercise I do.

HOW I FELT ON DAY 2

Now for the interesting bit, in the morning I felt really tired and awful. I was up early with a sore stomach and the lack of energy made things worse, but I soon perked up after my daytime tea and breakfast. Throughout the day my energy levels fluttered, I was desperate for a Lucozade but I had the willpower to not get one and grab some cordial instead. I felt more hydrated during the day and was less tempted to snack.

By the time 9pm came I was ready to get in bed, I was really tired and slept like an absolute dream again! I don’t know whether it’s teatox or not, but I feel so good in myself at the moment. My skin feels great and my mind doesn’t work overtime when I’m asleep. I can’t wait to see the end results of the teatox and see if (Combined with healthy eating) it works!

Well that’s all for my day 2 of the teatox, stay sweet x
